So a few days after the news of cancer in bladder and Radical Cystectomy (RC), I get a call from urologist saying that I need a CT scan of my chest.
I’m thinking this is to make sure I’m fit enough for a big operation.
But no, it’s to check if cancer is in my lungs.
After all Bladder cancer is a smokers cancer, so as the urologist put it “no point doing RC if cancer in your chest. If the horse has bolted…”
Another very worrying weekend with wife’s and my mind going into overdrive, but results come back with the all clear and chest is fine.
As it should be I’m a 53 year old, pretty fit, still playing footy, going to gym and golfing.
Plus. Never smoked in my life.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
