    Hi Nana,

I caught a bad cold after my first chemo, I rang the hospital the day before I was due to have my 2nd,they told me to still turn up for my appt...when I got there they did my bloods which were ok and gave me my chemo and sent me home with really strong antibiotics, this cold lasted 3 wks.I was really surprised they gave me the chemo, but as they explained my bloods were fine so it would be ok,so i dont really worry too much anymore about having a cold when my chemo is due.

    Hi Nanaboo,

The only way you can avoid passing on your cold is not to breathe on your hubby. I suppose you could wear a surgical mask but it's a bit drastic! I suppose it's better if he avoids infection if it's possible but you can't live in a cocoon. As Sue says, if his blood's OK no worries. You just have to be as careful as you can.
