My husband has hodgkin Lyphoma ,i am due to go see my mum on Sat.Shes 95 and has breast cancer have not seen her for 6mths .
He now wants to drive me there .Its a long drive amd a long day .He gets tierd and i am worried it will be too much .
What do other thnk of this? .i know they say if u feel like it do it .
Any help advice please post .

If it is a long drive is there no way you could break the journey up and either stay over with your mum or in a hotel nearby?
Your hubby maybe feels like he wants to do this for you , give you his support as you have probably been the one supporting him through his illness.If he feels he can cope it might make him feel useful. I hope you enjoy your weekend together, best wishes Jules x
Is it possible you could go on Friday evening and stop halfway somewhere and the same on Saturday evening? When you arrive could hubby find a cosy chair (or bed) where he could have a bit of a snooze? It is so difficult trying to juggle the family isn't it, wanting to see your mum but worrying about your husband at the same time. I think sometimes we think TOO MUCH!! At least the traffic isn't too bad on a Saturday so this may help. Take a pack of sandwiches with you so you can snack along the way. Whatever you decide to do have a nice time.
