Well that was fast! Went in on the 12th and out on the 14th, would have been earlier this morning but my consultant insisted on seeing me (with a few students) before I went, which brought it up to 5pm, but all the same ,mightily impressed. had a late op on Tuesday, about 6pm,then out for 9pm. Didnt have the same bad effects after the anaesthetic as I had the first time round (did mention it to the anaesthesiologist, dont know what he did but it was amazing) was eating breakfast at 8am next morning with no real problems. Up and around for 9am to get papers then drain removed in the afternoon. First time on thyroxine ,on T3 at the moment 3 times a day, dont really notice much difference, just that it gets me a bit 'peaked and troughed' you seem to be a bit sleepy when your low, or a bit hyper just after taking. They went through my old scar and glued it back together, it doesnt look too back (considering the swelling) They have to wait for Pathology to examine the right lobe for abnormalities, not verdict on what type of cancer it is yet. Also waiting for RAI date ,should be in a month or so, just waiting for letter to confirm. All in all, Im glad to be moving on to being cancer free.
