Yikes, 3 month checkup brought forward

Less than one minute read time.

Been a bit worried because my son's body has been aching so much over the last couple of weeks. He keeps feeling nauseous too and last night his ankle was swollen and itching like mad. He was in so much pain I had to help him out of bed and to get dressed

Trying not to burst into tears (I've become such a wet blanket), I called the lymphoma nurse today and she suggested we bring his 3 monthly check forward.

Feeling slightly panicky. Had hoped she'd say this was all perfectly normal and I was worrying unneccessarily. She didn't.

Teensy bit terrified but we will just have to wait and see.

    Dear Faith

I do hope that you get reassuring news, and that something can be done to help your son with his pain. My thoughts are with you (I have a 22 year old son, and I can't imagine what you must be going through.) I'm sure tears are normal under the circumstances, and you can let off steam here on this site. Take care of yourself. Val X

    • Try not to worry they will just be being cautious, I have had itchy ankles - 3 weeks, and swollen ankles at times and it has turned out to be nothing.

      best wishes    john

Hi Faith - It's pointless to say don't worry, I worry every day about my son, even though he's feeling and looking great at the moment.

But I hope bringing the check forward will put your mind at rest.  Best of luck, Jeanie x
