Clean, Clean, Clean!

Less than one minute read time.

Sal should be ready to come out of hospital soon so in preparation I am spending today deep cleaning the house. Every surface and everything on every surface will be vacuumed and wiped down with antiseptic wipes. Floor vacuumed, door handles antiseptic wiped.

A great excuse to give the house a spring clean anyway so well worth doing!

In Sal's words this morning "I feel great!". Plan today is for Sal to try to stay out of bed a little and to try to eat more normal meals all in preparation of her coming home. She is still very wobbly!

I am visiting this afternoon to watch the snooker final together. We are both enjoying the snooker very much and both supporting Robertson. We really wanted Selby to get through but not this year.

dear family, please make sure you keep any well meaning visitors at bay as they too could give Sal another infection.  Also make sure you buy the freshest produce and wash all salads, fruit.  We had medicated handwash for all of us so every time we came in from street or journey we used it and made any (VERY FEW) visitors use it as well, after we gave them the third degree as to where they had been and whether they had suffered anything.  Sal, don't try doing too much, just let your husband make a big fuss of you as you will need to build up your strength and imunity for the next chemo which, hopefully, will be a lot smoother this time.  Remember, if you feel tired - REST PLEASE!  We all on this site want you to come out the other end of the sausage machine, pristine and triumphant.  GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS. Annx

Thanks for that good advice. We will certainly need to be more vigilant that is certain.

To say she is ready to come home is a bit premature really. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. I would be surprised if she comes out before Wednesday... just in time for the election!!!

Using Purell hand gel is normal for us anyway and we have loads of bottles of the stuff around the house. We also use it when out and about before eating or after using public loos etc. here is now a bottle also by the front door.
