Late appointment today (16:00) so had to arrange for the girls to go to Grandmas for tea. So what do I do with my day then?? Long hot bath, with a cuppa and my book. Not allowed bubble bath etc but it was nice to just veg instead of rushing around.
So got train at 2ish and got to the hospital in time. The room I normally get treated in is being serviced so I'm in a different room with different staff. We were all talking in the waiting room about side affects. We all said it's not as bad as we thought it was going to be. The worse thing was the fact that it makes you think about cancer every day, which can be quite hard. Normally I try to get on with normal everyday things and keep busy. Yes, you have to think about it, but dealing with it like this is a bit hard. Just have to put a postive spin on it and hope it's working.
So in for treatment. New room, Better music (if you're an '80s girl like me - Duran Duran!!). Machine was the same and just as uncomfortable. But it was ok. It's another day ticked of the list.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
