Hello Mark. Hope you are feeling a bit better this evening, please try not to think of work just yet as I suspect your body is telling you to take it easy and rest - you need time to recover from the treatment. So do take care ! Love, Joycee xx

    Hi Mark,

For heartburn and indigestion I use a teaspoon of peppermint powder (available from health food shops) dissolved in lukewarm water. It's quite nice. Or peppermint tea which I think tastes grim but does do the job. If I don't have either of these I chew peppermint chewing gum (the blue Wrigleys Extra work the best for me). All three of these can help with nausea as well. Try not to push yourself too hard, you're ill, it's not like you're just on the skive so rest up and I hope you feel better soon.

    All the best, Vikki xxx

Good morning Mark. Sounds like you got that good nights' sleep you wanted ! I'm afraid that I can't really comment too much about chemo effects as I just had the surgery followed by RT. However, I can still feel tired even now when it's almost three years since my treatment finished - they do say that after having RT tiredness can last a long time. But it takes time for your body to recover from the various treatments and sleep is nature's way for the healing process. As Vikki said, don't push yourself too hard as you are not skiving and it's not a cold you are getting over. Do rest, I made the mistake of trying to carry on as normal during the latter end of my RT and all that did was delay my recovery. So your Doctor knows best and if she gives you time off then take it. Love, Joycee xx
