Sorry I haven't updated on here in a while. I have transposed this on to Blogger as I am finding this a little clunky to update quite a lot - sorry! But here is my Blogger blog http://mychemoblog.blogspot.com/ , but in summary...
My arm is still sore. I haven't heard anything from the oncologist about it, so I have just been carrying on as normal. Daily injections of heparin. Got blood tests done on Monday successfully, although the blood lady trying find a vein was pretty painful! Turned up at the hospital yesterday (day 22 or day 1 depending on which way you look at it!), waited blooming ages to see a different oncologist as mine was on leave. The first thing she asked me was 'so has it been ok?' Um, NO! Did you look at my notes?! Anyway, to cut a long story short, she ummed and ahhed and got another oncologist in for a second opinion and they decided that they would not be going ahead with chemo yesterday. My arm is still too bad, they can't use my left because of the lymph gland removal and I am getting a PICC line in my chest. When? Who knows! But I am totally gutted and anxious that this is going to delay it by weeks and weeks. I will give them a chance to contact me over the next day or two then call on Thursday afternoon to see what's going on. Gah.
