Well, well, I had an appointment with my respiratory consultant the other week. She saw how red and sore my legs were and declared that she thought I might have cellulitis, so prescribed me some Flucloxacillin. She mentioned some blood tests which I told her I thought I'd had. She had a look through my notes and found Nodular Prurigo and Lichen Simplex. The dermatologist hasn't told me this yet, so next Wednesday (13th) when I see him again I will ask. Anyway, I've been looking them up on DR Google and the first one sounds just like it. I've joined two facebook groups for sufferers, and was dismayed to read that it is incurable, and that treatments don't always work. But it was a relief to read of others' experiences (some have had it 25 years!). That makes me feel a little less lonely and that maybe I'm not going mad after all. Not sure if this is the beginning of acceptance or not!
