Well, I've had my bone density scan. I don't know the results - worse still, I haven't been given the Anastrazole tablets I'm supposed to be taking for the next five years!! In two weeks time I will see my Oncologist, so If I haven't had them by then I will ask her about them. But as it is now six weeks since chemo finished and I'm not having any other treatment, I'm starting to get a bit worried. After all, she did say she would contact my GP to arrange for them to be prescribed for me.
I finally got my Anastrazole tablets. I also got cellulitis (I think). My GP gave me some antibiotics (Flucloxacillin) but I had to stop taking them after three days as they made the rash and itching worse, and huge wheals appeared on my calves. After a couple of days not using them, that cleared up but the initial problem of sore, itchy (and red) legs is still there. I suppose I'd better go back to my GP and tell him. I can't understand why I reacted this way, as I have had those tablets before without any problems.
Anyway, I have another worry. I can feel something in my remaining (right side) breast! It's like a small sausage shape, and it is a bit painful when I press it in. I am seeing my oncologist on Tuesday (16th) so I will mention it to here. Fingers crossed it isn't anything serious (haven't I been here before?).
