12 days post tax, looking forward to going back onto FEC (am I mad?).
Feel more normal today, I can eat and it doesn't hurt. Went shopping at Asda and had one of their breakfasts (a small one). I forgot to buy a new thermometer. I already have three, and none of them are very reliable!!
Yesterday I went to visit my neighbour who has lung cancer. It is also in her brain and her bones.
She's had radiotherapy on her head which they hope will sort out the brain mets.
She starts chemo later this week but doesn't know yet which drugs she will be on.
We spent an hour chatting, and I felt so sad seeing her as she is. I do hope they manage to prolong
her life.
When I asked her what the prognosis was, she just said "incurable but treatable"
I suppose that's the best we can hope for. Makes my problems seem very small in comparison
