Four days after first Tax, and I'm feeling really awful. Pains in my back, knees, ankles, feet and toes. Feet also feel swollen and hot and throb a bit. I was prescribed paracetamol and ibuprofen and I've been taking them to help with the pain. Managed to get some sleep last night though, thank goodness.
On the bright side (there is one?) I'm still not having any nausea or sickness and I'm able to eat well. Prefer stronger flavours now though as my taste buds are on a go slow. Fruity flavoured sweets (as if I've not put enough weight on) and Earl Gray tea are good for cutting through the gunky taste. Hope these aches and pains wear off soon though, as we hope to visit a local garden centre on Thursday - weather permitting.
Docetaxel Day 6
After two days of really bad pains, I'm starting to feel better. I'm still taking the Ibuprofen and Paracetamol, but they are actually working now. My feet still get tingly and wearing socks and shoes seems to exacerbate that. My mouth is a bit sore, but bearable and although thing taste weird and I prefer strong flavours now, I am eating very well. A bit TOO well actually. Must try to keep off the chocolate and cakes!!!
I was rather worried that I wouldn't be able to face the next session, but if these pains are only going to linger for a couple of days, I'm sure I will cope.
