well, i last went to the hospital on the 24th of march. i still hadnt got a date through for a scan, so i rang them up, to ask which scan i was going to be having. they said a CT scan and not a PET scan. so i waited for a date for the scan and heard nothing. so i rang up my trials nurse and asked if she knew the date.
the scan still hadnt been booked. cuz they hadnt decided which scan i was having? so could i go in today to talk to them.
i went in. and was told by my DR that he wants me to have a CT scan and not a PET because the CT scan is less radiant than the PET and because im only 21 he doesnt wanna over expose me... ok, fair enough i guess... and said if anything was to concern him then he will most certainly book me in for a PET.. so that bit is sorted...
my hemoglobin levels are high. they are 17.3... i asked why this could be..
do you smoke? no..
have u ever smoked? no..
do u drink? rarely...
have you put on weight.. hmmm no not really, then he said ok you look the same... (LOL!!!) and iv been doing zumba, so its keepin me fit.. and i dont eat to much nowadays..lol..
well.... one possibility could be your lungs, from the damage from chemo. ok fine.. so what if it keeps going up? well we will have to take blood. itl be like giving blood. have you ever done that? no.. ok.. well hopefully by your next check up it will have sorted it self out, but if not then we will go with that step and run some tests.... okieee dokieeee....
soooo... anyway... the 12th i had lung function tests... there has been loads of improvement with my breathing.. its still low when i breathe out, but i can take more air in (which means my lungs are expanding again) yippeeeee..
im registered to do race for life in june... so will start training for that soon... i dont think i can run it all... might try some of it... but it wont be possible, or il be one of the ones that end up taken off in an ambulance.. hehehe... anyways... il reblog when iv had my scan, and got my results.. so may time maybe =) bye for now...
