I had the second of my yearly mammograms in March and two week later I got a letter asking me to attend radiology for another mammogram and an ultrasound. I knew then that they had found something that they weren't happy about.
When I arrived at radiology I only had a few minutes to wait before I was called in to have my mammogram. Once that was done they send me to the ultrasound room. When I went into the room I lay down on the bed and the radiographer came in and told me that he had found a small lump in my right breast. He put the gel on my breast and did the ultrasound. He then did a number a biopsies, about five, he said he needed to do so many as the lump was so small and hard to see. He said the results should be back in a couple of weeks. The nurses wished me luck when I left.
I knew in my heart of hearts that I was facing Breast Cancer again.
