As my cancer is now deemed incurable and no more treatment is planned for me apart from phone appointments from Addenbrookes discussing my fate. On the last call I enquired about immunotherapy. I hadn't heard of until somebody on one of the forums happened to mention it. The doc I spoke to said they might consider it after checking my old biopsy (had a mental vision of it languishing in a jar on a lab shelf somewhere!)
Anyway, whilst I was away on holiday in sunny Tuscany, I had a letter on the MyChart app on my mobile saying they'd examined it and decided immunotherapy wouldn't benefit my cancer and I would have another phone consultation in December.
Today I had an appointment for a CT scan on November 7th. I expect it is to check if cancer has spread elsewhere in my aged body.
Oh well..
