I hope to go to Florence and Tuscany in October if I can get travel insurance. It will be my first flight and first time abroad apart from a day trip to Belgium!
I've just emailed clinic to ask if they can put it in writing that I'm fit to travel, as consultant seemed to think I would still be well enough in six weeks time as mobile enough.
I have found a few insurers who seem willing to cover me, but obviously they need written confirmation. I expect it will be expensive, but it's a chance of a lifetime to enjoy a holiday with my good friends who have supported me all through my diagnosis.
Let's hope it happens!
