Well today was a baking day!
Mum has been busy making scones for the church fete, I have been making Lemon Drizzle cake and shortbread.
I am also making mums birthday cake, its her 59th birthday on Sunday, we are going out for a meal so will present it to her there, it is a lemon giant cupcake, will have vanilla icing and sprinkles on it, do like baking, next on my agenda is rosemary and sea salt foccacia.
Mum is feeling a tad nervous about next week no wonder really, you can kind of live in a bubble not admitting there is anything there while everything seems "normal" as she is very asymptomatic I am hoping that this must be a good sign, as the literature I have read a lot of people with this type of cancer especially when presenting in the liver have all sorts of symptoms that afect thier daily life, however mum seems relitavley normal in the sense.
Off to book her tickets now to see legally blonde at the theatre on Tuesday hopefully take her mind of what will happen?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
