ADVICE PLEASE confused...

Less than one minute read time.
Just wondered if kidney cancer causes so much pain on the opposite side of the actual tumour itself ? my father has a persistant dull ache on the side of his cancer of the kidney (diagnosed yesterday) but hes in a lot of pain and constantly feels dizzy and gets nauseaous, he also says that pain moves from back to front. is this normaly what happens with this type of cancer or could it be something else ?

Hi their Monica. I had my Kidney out 3 months ago due to kidney cancer. It had spread to the adrenal gland so that was removed also. Before i was told i had a tumour (size of a tennis ball) i had stabbing pains both sides. As i have a bad back and had an operation a year ago to have screws put in it, i put it down to that. Now i wonder if it was my kidney giving me all the pain. My cancer was picked up  when i had a ct scan so that was a big shock.I am coming along nicely now and hope to be back at work in a month. Im sure every thing will be ok. Give your dad my love and i wish him all the best. Kidney cancer is a cancer that can be cured 100%  if it is caught soon enough. You can live a full and good life with one kidney. I hope this helps you . Please pass it on to your dad, Im sure he will be ok, but i know how you feel because the word cancer is scary. Good luck xxxxxxx
