Well it has been a while since my last entry and in that time mum completed a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She has been doing well. She still gets out of breath easily and can not walk far but in general has felt ok. There has been something causing her to have a rash which has been driving her insane but other than that she has remained strong and cheerful. Today 24.5.10 I took mum for a check up with the oncologist who at the last appointment said that the tumour had responded well to the treatment and had shrunk a lot. Mum has been having some 'funny' spells so she has had a CT of her brain to rule out secondarys in her brain. The also did another CT of her lungs. The brain CT was ok but the funny turns are continuing so they are planning an MRI to look in more detail. The CT of her lungs however have shown that there are secondary deposits of the tumour. This has come as such a blow to us all and I don't know if mum can continue with the strength she has shown so far, The honest truth is I don't know if any of us can.
