Mum went back to see the oncologist today. All fired up to restart Tarceva, appointment booked tomorrow to see smoking cessation nurse..........They do not think she is well enough to restart the drug.
It is difficult because I was not there today my sister took mum. Apparently they are worried because mum is having regular loose stools, quite bad pain in chest and stomach.
Mum has now been started on Oramorph if this does not control the pain the mac nurse will review in a few days and may start the slow release tablet which are a stronger dose.
As I was not there I could not ask but to me this is the first step on a fast and slippy slope?? Am I wrong? I think today is telling me that time is passing us quicker than I had allowed myself to believe.
Love and gentle healing hugs to you all
