Alcohol & Chemo ?

Less than one minute read time.

Hello to everyone, my first time on line and i'm slightly scared of this but here goes, my hubby is slowly slippin back into the old drinking ways after having 13 rounds of chemo, 5 left until next scan in Dec. Im terrified he is a walking timebomb with all of the mediaction/chemo he is on. On average i reckon he drinks approx 8 units a day unlike the 15 prior to diagnosis, still racking my brains re life expectancy but worried this will speed things up, anyone with any real knowledge, I dont want to stop him from enjoying life a little but scared this will cause him further damage, please help ?

I can understand how worrying this is for you {{{hugs}}} My sister used to drink in the early days of her diagnosis. Its their way of coping isn`t it. I am sorry you have all this added worry, all I can suggest is that you speak with your husbands Dr or nurse...when I did this my sisters Dr said it wouldn`t harm her and that he could understand why she did it(her cancer was terminal )  well I could understand aswell but i was worried like you are.

Im sure someone will be able to offer some help here for you, I just wanted to send you a ((hug)) and say that i understand.

    Much love scarlet x
