odd couple of weeks

Less than one minute read time.

no sickness while I was on chemo, comeoff it for the summer and get S & D! GP thinks it's a virus so light diet for a week or so. I think the nausea is mainly because of pain, feel bloated after eating and to misquote Noel Coward, The only result of the last operation has been gales of wind at the least provocation.

Added to that my get up and go has got up and gone. Went to Tesco on Tuesday after a CT scan and half way round had to use all my will power to finish!

Some days can eat normally, some days just want to forget about food but make myself anyway to keep up weight.

Booked a session with practice nurse to get chloresterol checked (does it matter? Go back to find results of scan on 15th and to, presumably, find out where we go next.

\keep safe everyone

  • Cancer treatments can really bring the body low so we can't expect to 'get back to normal', we have to adjust to the 'new normal'. Recently I found myself hurling for England only to discover my body was protesting about the number of (prescribed) painkillers I was taking. A new  doc saw my list of drugs and wondered why I hadn't been prescribed  another drug which would have prevented the sickness . Problem solved.

    Take it easy,
