Hello I'me mic

Less than one minute read time.

Hi,

I do wish web sites were simple.  Why does everything have to be frenitic, overcrowded and jargon loaded?

Well I am somewhere in this morass so here goes.

I had muscle invasive cancer 2 years ago and had turbt, Chemo. and Radiotherapy with good results.

My last check cystoscopy showed C I S and I have started a course of BCG therapy.

Once I had gone to the GP with blood in the urine things moved very quickly and they got things done.

However I did feel I was on a conveyer belt with lots of people and there were a few niggles along the road but its the result that counts. You have to keep yourself informed and ask questions.  Don't be afraid to shout if you are not sure about something.

Regards mic.

    Mic,

Glad you made it on to the site, you will find plenty of support.  Its a great place to be.  As Nic pointed out you will make friends, and some for life.   Sorry you had to join because of the cancer but you in the right place. Hugs to you Jan x

  • Hi Mic,

Welcome to the site, yes it has its problems as a website in the way it operates which is being addressed as we speak, but i can agree with the others that this site is very good for support and help wether its from the admin staff or the other patients and carers, it certainly has helped me no end since my diagnosis for Bladder cancer last sept 2010.

So welcome to the club that none of us wanted to be in, but are now glad we are in. (if that makes any sense!)

    All the best.
