Manchester Cancer Protests at NICE Conference Dec 2008

Less than one minute read time.
Hi All As we all too sadly know NICE have recently condemed many cancer patients to an premature death, by refusing many effective treatments, due to the costs. Even if you could pay for a year's treatment, co-payments are not not allowed, and you will have to also fund your CT scans, nursing care, consultant appointments etc! So lets face facts, its a no win situation. These decisions not only affect patients suffering now, but could affect all of us. Imagine being told "your not worth it" and being sent home to die prematurely. NICE (National Institute For Clinical Excellence) are having an adaptely named conference "Excellence In Action" in Manchester on 3rd/4th December 2008 at Manchester's GMex centre. If you want to be heard, cause a fuss or represent a loved one in this situation then please post below. Hopefully we can stand united and give hope to many people who have been abandoned in their hour of need! Now come on show you care and show your disgust to these over paid, highly immoral people that work for NICE! Stand up for your rights to healthcare and treatment by invoking your right to protest. xxxx

H Metzy - God, when I think of these people it's a wonder my blood doesn't just gush out the top of my head, like a demented oil well. I know the MP I have here in London is very supportive, plus she is also very approachable. When I've got over my heebie jeebies, and am feeling more like joining in the fray once more, I'll certainly get something up and running from my end. I can always get back to you at a later date and let you know what I've found out.

I'll put out a few feelers and see if I can BADGER a few of the so and so's from my own bed. Love  kate xxxxxxxxxxxx
