Race for life

Less than one minute read time.
This time last year I didnt even know I had cancer, then in April found a lump and within three weeks was diagnosed with Breast cancer which had spread to the lymph nodes. I started 7 cycles of chemo then in November had a mastectomy with lymph node clearance. On December 9th I was given the all clear..........wow what a year and how quickly they responded to my illness. I am so excited now to participate in the race for life... I just can't wait to do it (would never have thought before that exercise would thrill me!!!). It is churning all sorts of emotions up inside me which is a good thing. Oh well better dust my trainers off and get in training lol. Will be counting down the days til June!!!

Hi Melanie - and you're right, it seems like your own life's been on a bit of a race all by itself, eh? I'm so glad to hear that your story has such a positive outcome. I know you'll do exceptionally well when you take part in the Race for Life and I wish you lots of luck with a good dollop of speed in there too. Keep running sweetheart, with love        kate xxxxxxx
