Herceptin

Less than one minute read time.
Hi all Yay! Had my last radiotherapy today. Wasn't too bad after all. You were all right. Even louder YAY!! my hair is growing (approaching Sinead O'Connor length now) and still dark. My cancer was triple positive - ER, PR and HER2 so ........ having my first dose of Herceptin on 27 May. I've read the blurb but has anyone had practical experience of this treatment? Any experiences welcome. Love to you all, Maureen x

    Hi Maureen

Well done on finishing your radiotherapy.  I have been on herceptin since August last year and have absolutely no side effects whatsoever from it.  I actually have a healthcare at home nurse come to my house once every three weeks to give it to me (i am an nhs patient) which is so good as dont need to go to the cancer unit to have it.  Think this scheme is relatively new and may just be for my area, not really sure.  Basically after the chemo the herceptin is a walk in the park for me, hope it is the same for you.

    Love
