So now we can BOTH have a bath!

1 minute read time.

John's bath seat was delivered today and it's absolutely blooming marvellous.  Tried it out tonight and he had a lovely relaxing soak.  Did him a power of good.

We have a shower and a bath in our tiny bathroom but neither of us has had a bath for over three years!  I've always been too scared, because there are no handles, that I won't be able to haul my chubby self out of the water.  John has often suggested that I try but I've always said that, unless he puts the Fire Brigade on standby, I won't chance it.  And now I can!!!!!!!!

Things are a little better today although last night was a bit touch and go.  He fell asleep on the toilet because of the meds.  I was all on my own and had a devil of a job to wake him, get him on his feet and steer him into the bedroom.  But I managed it.  Phew!!!!!!!!

My brother and his wife came to visit today and took me out to lunch while Jo sat with her dad.  It was great to have a bit of a break and a chat, and relax over some chilli and a glass of rose wine.

My granddaughter Kim is staying tonight.  She's a little ray of sunshine and John always brightens up when she's around.

Hope you enjoy the more cheerful blog today.  I certainly enjoyed writing it.

Love to you all, Madge x x x x x

    Hi Madge,

Err not had a bath for 3 years - bloody hell you must have some good friends, either that or they have a poor sense of smell !!.

I had a bad experience in the bath a while ago, you ever watch the wild life progs, the killer whale bursts through  the surface, rises majestically  almost verticle then plunges back with a massive wave that ripples out - ok been there, done that and got the tee shirt.

Had my bath, almost stood up, then the bubble bath took over, my foot went and I plunged back. The bathroom was soaked, ever towel on the rack wet, the spare toilet rolls a soggy mess. So started having showers - lol

Hope you get a smile from that and good you had some me time !! Glad john perked up after having his bath, yes a good wallow is needed at times.

Love and Hugs to you all and a pat for gemma the watch dog xxxxx

    John xx

Hurrah, good news at last! I bet that bath was bloody blissful for him. There's nothing makes you feel better like a nice, hot bath. Glad you enjoyed your lunch and chat, sometimes a change of scenery for a wee bit is just the tonic you need. Here's to more happy good days xxx

    Oh John!

You did make me laugh.  So everything was dripping - bet you felt like a drip yourself.  Hope no damage was done.

I'm not that smelly as I do have a shower but sometimes I don't have time to get cleaned up until half way through the day when someone can keep an eye on John.

    Happy splashing.
