Fewer side effects after Chemo #3!

Less than one minute read time.

Friday 28th May 2010

Things are looking good after John's third IV treatment on Wednesday.  This time there are far fewer side effects and he's able to eat much more than he did last time.  He's still not feeling 100% but it's a vast improvement on how he felt last time.

He's been able to come out with Gemma and me yesterday and today and that's great because it makes him feel so much better getting out in the sunshine and meeting people for a chat.  We even went for a meal out yesterday at our local Stewarts Gardenland cafe (2 for 1 meal offers on Thursdays) and he enjoyed a visit from a friend of ours today.  It's almost been like living a normal life.

Even a depressing phone call from his brother hasn't dampened his spirits!!!!!  (That man seems to thrive on sickness and tales of doom and gloom!!!!!!)

Long may it last.

    Hi Madge,

Thats great news about John, long may it continue.

Dont forget you have your self to look after if you dont want to make yourself ill.

You must have enjoyed going out for a meal as a family.and meeting some of your friends.Keep it going and be as positive as you can.

Take care and be safe.Big Hugs and Love to the Family.XXX Sarsfield.

  • That's good news, it is such a relief to have good days. I know what you mean about your brother-in-law thriving on doom and gloom. I have a friend who is exactly the same - even when she asks "How are you?"  it sounds as if she is expecting the very worst answer.

    Keep strong.
