Hopeful

Less than one minute read time.
Hi everyone, mixed holiday blogs, but to all of you a very happy new year. I do have a question, Barry my hubby has now had 3 chemo sessions and he feels so well, he was told that his cancer was treatable but not cureable so why does he feel so well? I am not knocking it but is there some hope or are we heading for a great big fall, has anyone out there been in this situation, he doesnt even get any real bad side effects from the chemo (as yet) and he is on a real strong doseage! not complaining just wondering lots of love Lynne

Hello Lynne, it has been the same with Andrew. He has just had his second lot and seems fine. We shouldn't complain, just wait and see how it goes I suppose. He is the wellest one in our house at the moment as the others seem to have flu, so he has to keep away from them.

    Dear Lynne,

I also have a cancer that is treatable but not curable. (Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia) I take magic pills and go for regular blood tests. This has been going on for 4 years. I feel fine. My blood is fine and I've found the trick is to live and enjoy every damn day as you don't know how many you have left. Hopefully years... But I honestly think that if you can stay happy and positive, you've got every chance of living longer. I think this applies whether you have cancer or not. So you and your Barry get out there and grab life by the balls. If a fall happens, deal with it, but don't go looking for one!

    Best wishes, Shelagh
