Hi everyone, I have not written for a while but thought I would get everyone up to date. Barry had his latest scan a week ago, the results were quite good the cancer has not spread and is still the same size as last scan (3 months ago). He is feeling quite well so we have decided to go to Cyprus for a month. I promised him when he was first diagnosed that I would get him there and fingers crossed I will. He has to go back for his next scan in August so I suppose this will be the pattern from now on. The doctor has told us not to live from scan - to scan just to do what we want and enjoy, so thats what we are going to do. His attitude from the start has been really good he has fought every step of the way, we know he cant be cured but at least it seems weve got more time than we first thought! Anyway good luck to everyone and I will send a blog when we come back.
Good to have some positive news. Enjoy your break in Cyprus. I've never been there but once shared a room with a girl who was born there and she was always making delicious (and fattening!) pastries dripping in honey and nuts!
Hi all cyprus was lovely and we went a whole month worry free (thanks to MIA online insurance) Barry had no problems and we really relaxed. His next scan is due August with results 16th August so hes getting a bit uptight again now. If scan is OK Barry wants to go off again probably to Greece or Teneriffe (cant handle too long a flight) but if thats what he wants to do then we will. I am finally retiring this Saturday so we can do things at the drop of a hat. Hope everyone OK will now go and read some blogs as I have not been on for a while
