coping with caring

Less than one minute read time.
Really good idea this site, I know how awful this disease is and must be the most horrible thing to live with but as a carer I think we are probably a little bit forgotton and taken for granted. Its nice to know there are others out there battling along and will read the blogs with interest. Keep your hopes up love Lynne

Hello Lynn, I was not sure where to reply to your message.

We are doing OK. Andrew is on his 4th chemo and has done well. He has had a sore tongue and gets hiccups a lot but nothing drastic. He has 2 more then rescanning to see whether more chemo or op. He is so strong and positive, he says there is something there and he is dealing with it. So we all try to take his lead.

It is hard because of my own cancer but I try to be how he wants it to be. We try to do nice stuff and carry on as normally as we can, we both get tired and friends say come in the evening but we can't really manage it.

I like my own time and space too, I always have done really, Andrew is the same. We have been married 38 years so know how to live together! We just do the best we can and it's not so bad, he has not even been so grumpy.

Hope you both are managing and at least when you go for the Feb. appointments you will be doing something about things if you see what I mean!

    Love from Helena.
