Brother home from hospital after surgery

1 minute read time.
Hi everyone, just to let you all know that my brother is now home from hospital having spent 2 weeks in after his bowel cancer surgery. He has had a few ups and downs, high temperature, drains going to the wrong place etc. - nothing that was totally untoward and could not be fixed. He is eating as normal again slightly smaller quantities though! He looks surprisingly well but is shattered, is walking around albeit slowly and very cautiously. The one thing he is so nervous about is his temporary stoma, to be totally expected of course and I am sure he will get used to the procedures etc. Chemo will be the next hurdle which will brings it's own challenges I am sure, we will just take each step as it comes. He can now relax a little at home - bit difficult with a lively 7 year old, but he knows that Daddy cannot play football for quite a while yet and is being very well behaved (as always??!!). Hope all is well with you and yours (or as well as can be expected in some circumstances, of course). Take care everyone, I will keep you posted as to how things progress. If anyone is going to the Banstead Boozeup, looking forward to meeting you there. Keep smiling in the sunshine, Loulou xxxx
