just having a bit of a moan to get things off my chest, 2 weeks ago today i met with my consultent, he told my my bladder cancer was all clear (the best day of my life), he said you can start back at work in a week time, got a sick note from gp 4 one week then started back to work this week, oh he allso told me see you in 4 months time just for a camera check, just to make sure i was still clear, i thought yipee nomore hospitals till feb 09.
well today the postman brings me two letters from two different hospitals 1 for an appointment on the 20th of this month and to my shock and disbelive i get another one to go for a preoperative assesment clinic appointment at a diffrent hospital on the 18th of dec. well all morning iv been trying to find out whats happening my specialist nurse from whiston hospital is on holiday til monday, my consultents secretary is off till mon, so carnt seem to speake to anyone to find out whats going on. do you only get pre op appointments if your going to be opperated on. well il just have to wait now till monday to try an find out whats going on, you think somebody would phone you to prepear you for these letters which they must know you know nothin about. well thats enough moanimg from me got it off my chest now, lets see what happens on monday when i should be able to talk to some 1, il do another update when i find out. not going to worry over the weekend lol easier said than done. lots of best wishes to you all. diane

hi cheryl, still in limbo land lol, dont know whats going on, had a couple of scarey letters thou this week got a pre op letter for the 17 dec. carnt really get hold of anyone to explain it to me, got intouch with the clinic and they said its for a bladder biopsy will have to go in for a op in jan 09. iv been trying to get hold of the consultents sec. since last friday shes on holiday, i have an appointment with my 1st consultent next thurs so maybe he can answer some of my questions, iv started back at work now but am having bad leg ache its like a tooth ache in the side of my leg, iv suffered with it before but gp ended up telling me its called housemaids knee i hope he was right if anyone reading this has had bladder cancer have they ever suffered leg ache as well. well im just hoping my bladder biopsy is just the normal thing, but i was sure the consultent said i would just keep going back for the camera to look inside. sorry for ramberling on lol i got carried away il be ok soon as i get somw answers lol. ps they never made a mistake as the 1st turb i had the surgon told me it was huge the specilist even shown me the pictur he had drawn of it and it was nearly in the whole lot of my bladder, the only thing i can think off is that maybe the bladder wash had something to do with getting rid of it, i was in shock when he told me after my 2nd op i was clear, i had all questions about my treatment wrote down to ask him, but when he said it was clear i didnt ask nothing i just asked was he sure lol but now i wish id of asked loads of ?s anyway il keep u informed il try and get some answers next thurs, thats another thing i dont understand why i have got 2 consultents at two diffrent hospitals, lol could only happen to me !!!! xxxx

touch wood. when i had the tumour in my bladder i didnt get any sort of aches ,its probably just working too much you need to like my name sake chill ya beans lol and take it eeeeeeeeeeeeasy.i hope everything goes ok and speak to you soon.
