hi all, just seeking some advice, as some of you know i am being treated for blader cancer, well at the min i am clear, but have to go back in hospital in jan for a bladder biopsy, just to make sure nones come back. well what i am worrying about is is had a smear a month ago, i all ways keep up to date with them, usually theu all come back fine, but yesterday i got a letter about my last 1, it says there are boarderline changes, and have to go for another smear in may next year, nothing really to worry about they sometimes sort themselves out. well this is my worry im not sure whether to push things a bit, or just leave it, i am a bit worried incase its somethin a bit more serious and should try an get it sorted b4 next may. or am i worrying over nothin, just would like some advice please, my dr is good at fobbing me off so just really wanted some advice of here b4 i go and try to explain my concerns to him, thanks for reading diane

I had a smear test that came back with a slight change and was advised to have another test the following year, which I did, this year. I was then notified to have a colcosopy (biopsy). I hadn't a clue what a colcoscopy was!!!!!!!! 3 days later they rang saying they wanted me back. Diane, please look into this further. It may be nothing at all but you need to know that ,especially in view of all you've gone through Best Wishes lindaj
Yes, Jools has good advice to ring the nurses and have a chat. As you know many of these boarderline ones come to no harm, but it can also signal changes which in the light of you having had problems in your pelvis before they will want to monitor more closely. I am sending you hugs, and hoping that they will sort this out for you and put your mind at rest. xxxxx Penny
hi all, i went for my pre op a week last thursday mentioned to the nurse about my smear test results she also adviced me to chase it up an not to leave it till may next year, so got hold of my practice nurse at are health center and shes made an appointment for me to go get it checked out with a consuletent. i go on the 13th of jan, just hopin its going to be ok. il be glad when were into feb. have to go in hospital in jan as well for rountine bladder biopsy, so think il celabrate new year in febuary this year wen hopefully i should be hospital frre for at least 3 months, xxx
