Hi Diane - welcome to the site, and I know you'll meet loads of people here when you start to know your way around. I don't have the same cancer as you, but that doesn't stop me from saying hi to you and letting you know that you're not alone. I've had a bone scan previously, and there's nothing to worry about, although sometimes that's of small comfort to us to hear, especially when you feel alone and frightened. You're not alone Diane, there are OODLES of us all fighting the same devil of a disease, but we all seem to be very free and kind with our time and our words of comfort and cheer. I know you'll stay strong and think positive thoughts - I believe it really helps. I hope everything goes well for you, and let me know how you get along. Hold on tight sweetheart, with love from kate xxxxxxxxxx

I understand how stressful and frightening it all is at the beginning, when you have suddenly been chucked into this new world where nothing makes sense, you don't speak the language and you don't know where you are going.  Gradually though it will become clear, you will understand and feel more confident about what is happening, and the panic will subside enabling you to start coming to terms with it all, and then fighting back.  I really hope that belonging to What Now helps.  We are all here to listen and understand what you are feeling, as we have all been in a similar state.  Please let us know how you are getting on with the scans.  If you want any info on how scans are done, just shout, but I have had quite a few CT scans now "with contrast", and it doesn't take long.  The staff are always very kind.

    Lots of love xxxx Penny

    Hello suzywong

I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago and had no major symptoms. its very worrying when you find yourself in this positon without any symptoms.  I found this site 2 weeks ago, when I was waiting for a 6month check up, had a very slight worrying symptom, couldnt sleep etc.,

    sending you a hug
