    Mum seemed to be a bit confused today and did not fully understand where she was and who all these people were that were looking after her, The MOrphine was now at regular intervals and she was sleeping for most of the time I was there, however when she woke she always smiled.     The first day of the month and it was not too bad , Mum was reasonably bright and cheerful and really loved the 'DUCK' heated bag. Mum had a passion for all things to do with ducks i.e. bowls and china models and I bought this so she could use the heat from the filling (put in microwave) as it gave off an nice lavender and wheat smell, to soothe the pain in her stomach.     I did not mention our cousin in Mauritius in March as we were told that she was ok and was looking forward to seeing her. I have ended April here beause April was so important and things happened on a daily basis.

    This was a busy month , Mum had progressed to a week in a care home whilst things were set up at her home so that she could get the best of help there. We was busy getting things ready to go to Mauritius as we were going on 12th April.  Mum cam home and after a few days everything seemed alright but the caring was taking its toll on my step-father who is nearly 80.     This was a fairly 'automatic' month both Mum and Lily-Claude seemed to be existing and trying to carry on living as normal as possible. THe weeks seemd to just go very quickly and with the weather still not being very good I looked forward to each Saturday eagerly to be able to go and see mum.
