Woke up very early and telphoned the home to see if Mum was still with us so that I could bring her friend to see her. Everything seemed a bit better as they said she had had a quiet and peacful night and she was awake and had a wash etc. I took her friend to se her and for nearly an hour they sat there and held hads and chatted to each other. Mum seemed to drawing some strenght somewhere to speak but not too much , she kept her smile going through the time with her friend. We took the friend home and after a while returned to see Mum. She was not lookingvery well and her hands were clammy and cold and her eyes were grey and distant. I knew she had probably now seen everyone she wanted to see and was preparing to leave us. I went home and cried expecting a call later that evening.
