Saturday Pain

I dont usually talk about the pain but yesterday it was bad.
My arms are hurting again and the hands are tingling as well as my toes.
They dont know where all this is coming from but somewhere some nerve is damaged.
The pain in my back and shoulder is hurting and Im out of breath when walking.
I fear the Lung is getting fluid in but If I have a drain in they wont do the Chemo.
I will talk to the nurses on Wed when they tattoo me.
It does ease when I take my pain killers.
We are up early again as if we do not want to miss one minute of daylight –another day is ahead another wonderful day.

HI Mavis - I am living with pain too - it can get you down at times can't it. I recently saw my GP after struggling for probably too long and he gave me new stronger meds which have made a miracuous difference - although they come with their own set of side effects....ho hum. I hope when your radiotherapy starts that the pain improves (it might not improve for about 6 weeks cos thats how long radiotherapy takes to become fully effectve) - I had numbness and tingling which they discovered was due to a tumour pressing on my spine - I had some targeted radiotherapy to the area and 6 weeks later was much improved! Anyway good luck for your forthcomming treatment I hope it goes well. In the meantime consider having your pain meds reviewd to see if there is something available which will cover the pain more - you really don't need to suffer unnecessarily! Lots of love Jools xxx
