We arrived at Aylesford priory and couldn't believe they still had snow there. The car park was iced up and we found other MCC Members parked up and all asked me was this where the Rally was being held.
I went to find my friend Lesley but she had fell asleep after the long journey from Dorset but then he husband ray came walking over as he had been looking around to see what was what and informed me that we were supposed to park in a Car park near the Barn but that was all snowed over.
Linda spoke to the Groundsman who said if we don't park there then he would have to cancel the meet so off we all traveled into the snow and Ice.
Ray and Lesley's M/Home started to get stuck but they finally parked up and we followed in.
Gradually lots of others drove in and parked up and the rally begun.
At 7 .30pm we went to the Priory's Pilgrim's Hall and had a superb evening at the Carol concert.
the
annual carol concert with the Medway Concert Brass. 7.15pm
Relic Chapel. Entrance £3.50 adults, children free.
Followed by seasonal refreshments.
But that advert just doesn't prepare you for the wonderful event that this was. The Brass band and the very amusing band Leader always cracking jokes.
One of the Players was a young soldier who was in training at Gilligham Barracks so he got an extra appreciative applause.
The fathers were very friendly and so cheerful. We all sang our hearts out, Carols of all sorts but Redolf the red nose Reindeer ???? I said it was a unexpected Concert.
We left there and walked through a room where there was a huge table with bench's where the Pilgrims that had called into rest on their way to Canterbury ate.
Then we went to the Pilgrim Hall to have mince pies and a cup of tea and where more of my friends joined us --It had been a wonderful evening.
Saturday we couldnt believe how it had got warmer in the night and the snow was nearly all melted so we could get around better so a walk to the village was on the card's and of coarse we were able to take slot many of photos of Aylesford Village

We went back to the Priory and Mike and Linda our other friends arrived and we had a chat and then a walk all around the Priory where I lit a candle for all the mesowarriors and said a little prayer. xx
Then it was time to go back to the Barn for the Children s Party where they had a magic act to entertain them and what a great time they had it was so nice to see kiddies away from the television and watching a live show and they helped the magician to do his act, it was such a delight for the Adults and the children.
Of we went back to our M/Homes to cook dinner and have a rest then get ready for our party.
A night of dancing to a live band and lots to drink and just a great evening with our friends all together and a whole hall of fun.
err just a mention that a chocolate fountain was bought in with a selection of things to coat in chocolate.
It was highly amusing but the best bit was when the children didn't think they were being watched
I didnt wake up until 10.10am this morning so we had to rush around to make the coffee morning but we did.
After another walk around the site with Linda and Mike and we found the river this time.
Also we watched the Canadian geese and duck's all trying to walk on a Icy pond, slipping as the walked, poor things.
My Book is selling really well and everyone says the cant put it down.
I have given one to Dave next door as he is my wonderful neighbour who has been so supportive and his photo is in the book--in his vest cutting the lawn. He said "it isnt him at his best" but I love how natural it is. xx
