My Diary --the snow has gone and we are back to normal

2 minute read time.
We had to make a hard decision today to cancel meeting friend's, as we were supposed to be going to Ross on Wye on Sunday,  then we were going to Wales for a while in the Motorhome-- but I have to stay around for the results of my Scan and so it would be a long way just for a couple of days and in the colder weather Ray has asked me to be sensible about it.
I'm listening --I'm listening.!!! So we have cancelled and lucky enough my friend Sharon has been sweet and understanding and we are making plan's for later in the year.
Poor Bill --will I ever meet you xx
This is my life at the moment, always breaking promises, because I try to live my life as it was and it has changed, I live around hospital appointments.

Other than that my life today has been good and we had Bubble and Squeak with a rasher of bacon tomatoes and mushroom's for lunch and so did the dog, he thought that was a special treat and wagged his tail when he had finished.
Then we got him ready for his walk as the snow has gone and it is so easy to get around now.

The seagulls having a rest

The beach is back to normal and the Seagulls are diving around scavaging for what ever food they can find.

We have learnt that MHF has raised for the Macmillian Nurses £2106.76 plus another £90 to come in which is a great sum and I'm well pleased.

I'm also thrilled that a bottle of Whisky (I donated in the Honour of Peter (who died) and myself and anyone else that has needed the Macmillian Nurses) that members threw £1 coin's  at  for the nearest to win the Whisky.
Well we made £128 at the Global and the winner was Happyrunner and instead of drinking it Mike took it to Southsea New Year rally to do the same game again, where another £90 was raised and the winner larrywatters has again decided not to drink it, but has donated it to be used again to raise some more at another rally, so much money raised from 1 bottle.

I couldn't attend the Rallies where all this was carried out because I was under Chemo so I just said a big thank you to everybody that made all this possible.

This time last year I never even knew I would need the Macmillian nurses and I certainly didnt know what a great job they carry out in our hospital's.

  • Hi Mavis

The snow has gone now here and now we have flooding. Think you were right to pospone your trip if that makes you feel any better.

Forecast says we may have more snow later next week. I do hope not.

Best of luck with your scan results and well done for all the fund raising.

  • Im pleased i havent gone as it is a cold wind and i find that difficult to breath in the wind as it just hurts.

You have to know your limits dont you.

I hope you dont have problems with the flooding as thats the worst to happen.

    Love Mavis
