    Hello Mavis

I read your interview and found it very interesting; well done on raising the metho issue.  I was also  fascinated to read about your French Revolutionary ancestry and wondered if I could offer to attempt a translation at the documents you referred to?  I have a degree in French and worked for 15 years for the Foreign Office so know a bit about pesky pre-Revolutionary France!  Let me know; I'd love to try to help out.  Excellent if we could establish you are French aristocracy!

  • The thing is the Pension papers are in a Paris Museum somewhere -as a-- far back relation handed it back for some reason.

What you could answer, if you know, is why would a baby come to England with Count Pierre La Roche (he was a Count in King Louis the 16th's Palace) and with a Pension for him and his future relatives??

That's the question we cant answer.
