My Diary --snow and more snow

2 minute read time.

We woke up to no snow at all today which was such a relief as I began to think we would miss it .

Our Son phoned up and he had to take his car for an MOT so he had set of in one car with his girlfriend and then the snow had fallen in force and they were taking ages to move as they came home in two cars and  were stuck as they had shut the slip road he wanted.

Ray heard a policeman talking to our son and he said that no way would they be able to get to Marlow and they were at HighWycombe.

They had to turn round and go back to where they had left 4 hours ago and try another route.

It took 9 hours before we had a phone call to say they were home they and us were so relieved.

It started to snow at 12am here just little flakes so I told Ray we had better take the dog out for a walk which was a good idea as we only got to the Local shop and bought a loaf of bread when there was a  blizzard so we turned around and came home.

In the bleak mid winter snow upon snow la!la!

We got in doors and it was so warm that I was glad to get in and made one of my home made soups. Celery carrots parsnips onion and my tameric and chili as well as seasalt and garlic with red beans put all in the Pressure Cooker  and so cooked in no time. Blitzed when cooked and you have a great soup.

I have spent all the rest of the day answering emails and sending them as I’m sorting out all the contacts I have had for my book.

Places to send my link to add to Training and help groups that deal with Asbestos just the another reason why I wrote a book, to raise awareness of the dangers of Asbestos

My Cyber friend has done a great piece on his blog that I really like.

Ray has been making my notice  for a book signing that I’m going to do at the New Year Rally that I have been invited to do.

It really has become very interesting.

We took for dog for a walk round and took some photos as the snow has laid and caused such upheaval on the roads.

I was very glad my family didn't have to go out... but my sister went into Oxford on the bus at 9.00am and  couldn't get one home at 11.00am as the snow had come down so fast.  She managed to get the last taxi running in Oxford before they packed up...

we only had a light covering, so hopefully there won't be any more before I have to be at the hospital in the morning at 8.30 in Chichester.

    love n hugs
