I clipped and weeded and it is looking tidy again.
I had to get Ray to prune back the bigger shrubs as I haven’t got the power in my wrists and the jolting made me chest hurt so I can feel the weakening in my body –I’m not the strong person I used to be.
So together we worked and now its all tidy.
I have the rest of the gardens to do but there is no rush.
It was lovely in the sun and fresh air so we took the dog for a short walk and then shut him indoors as we went down into Whitstable to get my Son a birthday card. I cant believe he is 45 next week.
He has phoned up and as he is going to a Christening in Gillingham they will pop down to us tomorrow.
A lovely surprise –he is moving to nearer to the M40 and although that is further away from us its good news as we will be able to park on his drive in the Motorhome and also he is getting a house with more bedrooms so we will be able to stay anyway.
Good job we get on together he!he!.
Well as we were down town we went to the health shop and bought cashew and pistachio nuts for my recipes as well as crystallized ginger which is very healing.
My Gran used to eat that and she lived to 101 so the old wives tales have some truth in them.
The High Street was very busy with day trippers so we went to Argos at Sturry to buy a Pressure Cooker as I need new saucepans but they are the same price as the Pressure Cooker and it will cook my vegetables healthier.
The BBC Cookbook came so I will have to study it for this new way of eating.
My dinner tonight was a salad with colslaw and potato salad with cashew nuts sprinkled over and peach, yoghurt ontop of a pancake.
Ray had pork and apple sausages and bacon with a salad and jacket potato mmmm!!!
Timeball tower, clearly visible from Deal pier, is a significant landmark for deal and was a clever way of letting Deal fishermen know when it was 1 o’clock as it rises to the top and then drops down at 1pm
