The Daily Mail published a story claiming that white asbestos is not a threat to your health, it claims that mass hysteria has been caused and that there is no proof that white asbestos is a danger or has a link to mesothelioma. I and many others feel that The Mail should not have run this story and we demand a retraction

They have known for a long time that white asbestos was as dangerous as blue and brown

To talk about Hysteria is madness. I have said "this is an Insult to all us Mesothelioma sufferers, telling us we are Hysterical.
Being Classed as terminally ill with a Tumour that has seeded all over my chest wall and lung and spreading to a Lymph Gland near my heart and a prognosis of 4 months is not being hysterical --Having an operation and Chemo is not being Hysterical. I'm fighting to live.
They have known for years that blue and brown and now white asbestos is causing a cancer.

We will see whether we get a retraction of the story.

Well we had a wet day again but very much warmer though which made the dog walk a whole lot better.

We went shopping and had a great day together but cant wait to get out in the garden and tidy the shed up.

My neighbour came to see me to make sure Im doing OK which was very sweet of him as he lost his wife to Cancer so I must be reminding him of the sad times when she became very ill.

Its nice though to talk to someone who understands what Im going through.

I have had a great photo of Ray and I sent it was taken at the Dinner dance.

Hi Mavis

I am furious on your behalf! I read the article - I had forgotten what a revolting paper 'The Daily Mail' was.

Good luck with forcing them to retract their statements.

I loved the picture - you both look blooming, despite everything.

Mavis my husband has worked in the building trade for years and he said the daily mail are wrong in saying white asbestos is not dangerous, he said years ago white asbestos was in toothpaste and in artificial snow that they used in films, so where they got there information from he would like to know.

Good for you and others that have complained, i hope you all get an apology.

Your photo is lovely you look really good and very pretty in pink.

I have sent the Mail a challange to publish he other side of the mesothelioma story, about how sufferers are treated by the NHS and the total lack of any government will to consider the new and more successful treatments being used in other countries. Watch this space. If any other type of cancer had been belittled in this way there would have been a national outrage.
