My Diary --Lunch with our Friends

1 minute read time.

We had made arrangements to meet our Friends Dougie and Elaine at the Savacentre at Gillingham so it was a case of getting up showered and take the dog for a walk as he was being left at home alone.

It was bitter cold again on the Sea front but we gave Louis a good play with his ball which he threw straight though a wire fence on a building site so he lost his ball.

We took him home and then set off in the car and it was a good ride to Gillingham as there are not any lorries on the road, I wish it was this easy in the week as the M2 is a busy road.

The Savacentre Gillingham

We parked up and went into the Savacentre as I had made arrangements to meet at the flower stall and that's just what happened.

We said our hallos and went up to the restaurant and had a great meal together and a good old chat.

Talking about what we have all done on holiday's in the Motorhome.

We stayed for over 2 hours so we said our goodbyes and a promise to meet up again soon.

We travelled back home and was to full up to eat again --well a cup of coffee and a cream cake but shhhh don't tell on us.

I just write this diary of my daily going's on to prove that when you are terminal you can live a life and i seem to want to see so much of what is around me.

I love living here in East Kent and I cant wait for the warmer weather to really get out and about and see more of the country --if time is running out then winter is holding me up.

    Love Mavis

I repeat this to you as its really how I feel.

Deep down Im so frightened but it is deep down and I hold it there and put a smile on my face.

I live life as it has become so precious to me.

    Love Mavis

Mavis - I hope you didn't misunderstand me.  I read your blogs because I love the way that you are going out there and living and sharing that with us - despite what you are going through.  To be able to keep that smile firmly on is truly admirable and inspiring.

Have a lovely day.  The sun is shining with us - at last!

  • No Buzzie I havent misunderstood you I took it as a compliment but I do get embarresed sometimes on here that im not talking all medical.

But Im amazed that terminal doesnt mean all medical and bed. I can get about and thats what I do as we have just had a great walk in the sun and have taken some lovely photos.

Medical can wait while the sun is shinning ha!ha!

    love Mavis
