I think the thaw has set in overnight as Ray was able to clear the pathway off very easy as it has turned to slush.
I had to sort the rubbish out to get the dustbin nearer to the gate for tomorrow's collection and it meant clearing the snow out to be able to wheel the bin out.
It does feel warmer though which is a great help as it has just been so cold of late.
After our lunch of a home made lamb and vegetable soup we couldn't wait to walk the dog and see how the conditions were.
It was like walking on the defrosted ice you get out of the defrosting freezer, it was deep and slippery but we had a nice walk around and the dog ran around in the snow.
We met up with a couple that had dogs so tall they were like ponies and hung back behind them, Louis thought better of it and didn't murmur or take them on.
Dinner was a beef roast today which was very warming in this weather and then Ice cream.
I have answered all my family and friends emails so everything is done. They all seem to be getting to work in the snow which is such a relief as I was worried for my Younger son who is on the road all day as an Engineer but he has coped.
Watching dancing on Ice now which is entertaining.
