My Diary--I want Pink dot boots and my son says no!no!no!

3 minute read time.

I have found reviews of my book left by readers and i know they wont mind if i copy them here

This is the true story of one womans fight against mesothelioma – a terminal cancer caused by the exposure to Asbestos. Mavis and her husband Ray have written a daily blog and have used this to produce this E book which follows their story from their first meeting in the late 1950s through the birth of their children, the loss of their daughter and then the devastation which is Mesothelioma.
Ray writes of his fear of losing his wife and the guilt that he may be to blame for his wife coming into contact with asbestos. Mavis writes of her daily battle against this cancer and the fears that she has. Mavis also writes with humour and talks of the friends that she has made during this journey and you find yourself smiling with her.
Mavis ends the book with- “Watch this space” – and she leaves you in no doubt that she will continue the fight! I wish her and Ray all the best of luck for their future together

And

This book will help many people that have been diagnosed with Mesothelioma and give them courage to fight the disease and not give up.

I have never met Mavis personally but have through an online forum. I have followed her progress in fighting this awful disease. I can only applaud her and Ray’s courage. The book will have you laughing, crying and shouting for joy at the very good news she receives at the end of the book.

Keep on fighting Mavis and continue to enjoy your life.

And

I first met Mavis as a cyber friend on a motorhome forum.

Mavis was and still is such a helpful member on there, she spends hours talking to, and also helping others on the forum.

So when Mavis posted on the forum, saying she was ill, and how would she get through this……..I was really upset.

To read Mavis’s story is one of true courage and inspiration, as every day the fight continues against what Mavis describes as her ‘little nasty’. The book comes to life as you live each day of this fight with Mavis and her beloved Husband Ray.

I cried when I read the poem by Ray, and I felt all the emotions that the couple were going through together,as the story unfolded, and I felt that I was in their living room with them, as Mavis describes each day in this incredible journey fighting her ‘little nasty’ mesothelioma.

The book ends with ‘watch this space’ and I truly will be doing so. What a remarkable woman Mavis is and I wish both Mavis and Ray the very best. The sheer determination and Mavis’s courage shine from every page.

If mesothelioma is affecting you or anyone you know, I would definitely read this book.

Thankyou so much for very lovely words ad so pleased you have enjoyed the book.

Today has been very cold even though the sun has shone all day.

I have sent my Xmas cards at last and 2 have gone to the USA which have amazed me they only cost £2.00–thats £1.00 each which was a surprise.

I have delivered my first signed copy to my friends Beryl and Chris as they are mentioned in the book and loved the photos of themselves inside.

Louis loves visiting them and he was trying to take the chocolate decorations of the Xmas tree, he is a little devil for chocolate.

My son phoned to say he was shopping on line so what sort of wellie boots would I like so i said with spots on but I dont think he has bought them.

I think I would look smart in these

So i will have to wait and seeif they buy sensible ones.

I have still been fighting for my Charity Mesothelioma .UK to win on MHfacts but Im always head to head with Cancer research. I have looked at their web site and nowhere do they mention Mesothelioma and I cant seem to get that across to people that we are left out as they talk about Lung cancer but that covers Smoke Damage and not our Cancer.

If I loose I will have to just carry on raising money with my books, which have sold almost a 100 so Im really very pleased.
