My Diary--a visit from 2 swans

3 minute read time.

We awoke to a very wet morning again so I thought "Oh no a day in the house again" Im feel so shut in at times as last year we had traveled around in the M/Home all over the country meeting loads of friends and here we are stuck in doors watching the rain outside.

I got up an answered all my e-mails and spoke on my M/Home forum and made arrangements to meet up with a friend in May who will be passing through on the way abroad  and she has a darling new puppy Spaniel.

My friends lovely but wet dogs

Rita they are very sweet.

We had 2 books to post off to friends and a thank you letter to the Whistable Freemasons who have sent me a cheque for £200.00 -also thanks to Chris who put forward my Charity,  Mesothelioma UK.  So off we went to the Post Office and to walk the dog.

I saw the headlines on the billboard  about a Local lady, who owned the Icecream parlour in Whitstable and who came to my keep fit, she had taken her life on the railway track.

What a waste, here is me fighting to live and she snuff's her life out, its a weird thing. We will have to wait for the inquest to find out why?

It rained heavily as we walked around the sea front and a car pulled up and a friend shouted out "how is it going" and then I looked at his wife and my goodness there she is siting there in the front seat and has just got over the flu.  You Know when you say "My God you look ill" and then realize how rotten you sound. Bless but she did look so ill.

As we came back on the main road again we looked over the Salt Marsh and there was a pair of lovely swans walking around so maybe they will be building a nest and lay their eggs. Maybe that's a sign of an early Spring I do hope so.

Arent swans so regal

Swans are so lovely and they stay true to one another right through their lives

When I got back I found this wonderful site

http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/life/Mute_Swan

Mute swans are a familiar and impressive sight in Britain. Often found on ponds and rivers in parks and other urban areas. By tradition, all mute swans belong to the monarch. They are one of Britain's largest and heaviest birds, with a wingspan of up to 2.4 metres. Male swans are highly territorial and first threaten intruders, striking an aggressive pose with wings arched over their back, before charging at them to chase them off.

I had really enjoyed the walk even if it had been raining since my illness everything is magical I cant wait for the spring to feel the warmth of the sun again.

I cant believe I'm 70 this year but I do look forward to my big birthday bash in September at the Woodbridge Pub Beer Festival Devizes  and so many people coming to it and Bands with live music and a huge Marquee it will be brill.  I hope the sun is beaming. But hey Mavis pack it in your wishing the year away.

I have to go the hospital tomorrow for a blood test to make sure everything is OK to have the Radiology CT Scan with a injection of contrast media (which I have reacted badly to once ) They will  then give me an appointment for the scan.

I have a Oncologist appointment in March for assessment that is the three month worry if everything is still OK.

Tomorrow night is exciting as I'm on Skype and going to join in a Meeting in Australia of fellow sufferers, what a marvel the modern day world is.

The only problem is I have to stay up all night to do it, why cant they have GMT ha!ha!
