My Diary A Easter Sunday visit to Woking Surrey

2 minute read time.

We went to the beach early as our journey to our son at Woking was the plan for today, so we thought it best that the dog had an early walk where The Residents were having an Easter Beach Cleaning event.

Then it was home, grab the Sat/Nav and set off for Woking, the traffic was so good we did the journey in 2 hours even with a stop at Clacket’s Lane Services.

We drove out from under the clouds of rain to a great sunny day as we travelled along the M25 where we did see a poor fox that had lost its life at the road side, I hate seeing that as they look so wonderful, so golden with that fluffy tail. So sad.

We had a great Sunday dinner cooked by our son as his girlfriend had to go to work which was such a shame but at least we kept our son company and had a  good natter about everything Spain being the main topic as it is very dear to our heart and this time last year he left Spain as his contract had finished and came back to England but I always know their heart,s are left there and one day soon they will go back..

We were so full up as we went in the car to the nearby park which has a wonderful lake for the residents to fish in, walk around or cycle such a great space and the residents do use it as it was very busy.

We walked right around taking in the sights and sounds and Louis had a play and a run around.

Returning back to the house and another cup of coffee we looked at our watches and could not believe the time had gone so fast and that if we didn’t leave we would be travelling in the dark and maybe the M25 would be busy.

We couldn’t believe the traffic was actually very light for a Bank Holiday (blame the weather  forcasters as they had predicted heavy showers) and we got home in record time and in daylight just as the sun was setting, a great golden ball in the sky.

Today has been a really good day.
